SMTP Server Settings

SMTP Server Settings configure the email delivery system that MRI Evolution uses for password reset emails. When users forget their password, the system sends a secure reset link via email - these settings ensure those emails reach users reliably.

Configure the SMTP host, port, and authentication credentials to connect to your organization's email server. Your system administrator or MRI Software will typically set up these settings during initial system configuration.

Field Name	Description
Host	The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or IP address of the SMTP mail server that Evolution will connect to for sending system-generated emails such as password resets, task notifications, booking confirmations, and automated reports (e.g., "smtp.office365.com", "mail.company.com", "smtp.gmail.com", or "192.168.1.25"). This server handles outbound email delivery and must be accessible from the Evolution application server network. Contact your IT department or email administrator to obtain the correct SMTP server address for your organization's mail infrastructure. For cloud email services (Office 365, Google Workspace), use the provider's documented SMTP relay host. Ensure firewall rules permit outbound connections to the SMTP port (typically 25, 587, or 465). Test email delivery after configuration to verify connectivity and authentication.
Port	The Port (typically 25).
Send emails from	The email address in use to send the password resets.
Authentication Type	Available from 7.0.0.0 Select an appropriate value from the drop-down: Basic Microsoft 365
SMTP server requires basic authentication	Check the box if the SMTP server requires authorisation.
Username	If authorisation is required enter the Username.
Password	If authorisation is required enter the password.
SSL	Check the box if SSL is required.

Complete the fields and click Save and Close .

Additional workflows will need to be set up to enable SMTP settings.
