Accounting Preferences

Accounting Preferences provides comprehensive financial system configuration capabilities enabling organizations to streamline accounting period management and budget planning processes. Accounting Preferences efficiently set up future Accounting Periods on mass, facilitating systematic budget allocation and allowing comprehensive budgets to be established for Cost Centres with operational accuracy and financial control oversight.

The Accounting Preferences are maintained here.

Settings > Finance > Accounting Preferences

The link will open the Accounting Preferences Setup.

Field Name	Description
Interval	Intervals are used in conjunction with Periods to set how long an Account Period is to cover e.g. Interval - 1, Period - Monthly will set an Account period up every one month.
Period	Periods are used in conjunction with Intervals to set how long an Account Period is to cover e.g. Interval - 1, Period - Monthly will set an Account period up every one month.
Start Date	The Start Date for the creation of Accounting Periods.
Years in Advance	How many years in advance the Accounting periods are to be created for.

Complete the fields and click Save and Close .

MRI Evolution will create Accounting Periods these can be viewed in Accounting Periods.
