Currencies

Available from 6.4.0.0

Currencies define available currencies for financial transactions in MRI Evolution. Set Currency against Contracts, Suppliers, or Purchase Orders, and related transactions automatically inherit that Currency. Currency symbols display in input pages, grids, and reports.

Settings > Finance

The link will open the Currencies grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.

To add a new Currency click New , to edit an existing Currency click Edit . A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of a Tax Code.

Field Name	Description
Details
Culture	Select a relevant country Culture Code for the Currency.
Name	The Name will be auto-populated from the selected Culture but can be manually amended.
Default	The Currency marked as Default will be used against system entities, such as Contracts, if a Currency is not set by the User.
Display Preferences - Regional display format for values in this currency
Display	From the drop down, select what is to be displayed throughout MRI Evolution for the current Currency: Symbol Code
Position	From the drop down, select how the Currency (Symbol or Code) is to be displayed in relation to the fiscal amount throughout MRI Evolution: Before After Before With Space After With Space
Code	A read-only field that displays the three letter currency code for the selected Culture.
Symbol	A read-only field that displays the currency symbol for the selected Culture.
Advanced - Optional information for this currency to enhance display and conversion in reports or notifications
Local Name	The Local Name will be auto-populated from the selected Culture but can be manually amended.
HTML Code	The HTML Code for the currency symbol can optionally be entered here.

Complete the fields and click Save and Close .
