Helpdesk - Calendar
Available from 6.0.1.0
Helpdesk Calendar provides an Outlook-style calendar visualization of all activities and scheduled items related to a specific task, displaying colour-coded time blocks for Events (blue), SLA Targets (green), Time Records (orange), and Appointment Visits (yellow) across Day, Week, Month, Timeline, or Agenda views.
Use the calendar to coordinate task work by
- adding Task Events (click Add Event toolbar button or right-click planner and select New Event)
- assigning Resources to the task (click Assign Resource button or right-click planner and select Assign Resource)
- opening the Resource Planner with the current task pre-filtered (click Open Planner button)
- finding the nearest available resource to the task location (click Find Nearest Resource button to view map with building location and nearby resource GPS positions)
The calendar supports drag-and-drop editing—for example, resize or move unstarted Time Records or Provisional Appointments by dragging their edges or bodies, double-click any calendar object to edit its details in a pop-up, or right-click for context menu options (Open, Edit, View Map).
Filter the calendar view using check-boxes to show or hide specific entity types, helping focus on relevant activities—for example, hide Events and SLA Targets when planning resource schedules, or hide Time Records when reviewing customer appointment windows. Colour-coded indicator bars on the left edge of objects show status at a glance: solid bars indicate completed/actioned items (blue=actioned Events, green=met SLA targets, orange=started Time Records, yellow=confirmed Appointments), striped bars indicate pending items (blue=unactioned Events, green=unmet SLA targets, orange=not-started Time Records, yellow=provisional Appointments).
This supports resource coordination (visual overview of all resource assignments and appointments for efficient scheduling), progress monitoring (quickly identify unmet SLA targets or unactioned events requiring attention), and operational planning (view weekly or monthly task time-lines when coordinating customer visits or multi-day maintenance activities). Organizations typically use Calendar view when coordinating complex tasks involving multiple resource visits, customer appointments, and regulatory compliance deadlines—for example, major refurbishment projects with staggered trade visits, compliance inspections with strict regulatory target dates, or tenant move-in preparations requiring coordinated service activations across multiple disciplines.
