Element Classifications

Available from 6.5.0.0

Hierarchical classifications within Element Classification Groups that subdivide building components into parent, child, and grandchild levels (e.g., SS_30_10: Pitched roof systems → SS_30_10_30: Framed roof systems → SS_30_10_30_25: Heavy steel framing). Supports Uniclass 2015, Omniclass, and UniFormat taxonomies.

Link Classifications to Asset Classifications to organize physical building elements by industry-standard codes.

The Purchase Key licence dependency for this specific element of the system has been removed and is now included as standard in the core MRI Evolution product the feature has been turned on for all systems by default.

Note: Other restrictions, such as User licence type restrictions and / or any restrictions to underlying functionality that is dependent upon Purchase Key licences will remain in place.

Settings > Property & Estates

The link will open the Element Classification Grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.

To add a new Element Classification click New , to edit an existing Element Classifications click Edit .A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of a Element Classifications

Field Name	Description
Name	Enter an appropriate name for the Element Classification.
Code	Optionally, enter a code for the Element Classification.
Class Level	From the drop down select a value from 1 to 9 in order to define a structure for the Element Classifications within an Element Classification Group.
Element Class Group	From the drop down, select an appropriate Element Classification Group for the Element Classification. The drop down will be filtered to only contain Element Classification Groups with an Active state.
Parent	To set a parent classification record, select an Element Classification in the same Element Classification Group with a Class Level value that is lower than the Class Level of the current Element Classification. The drop down will be filtered to only contain Element Classifications with an Active state.
Description	Optionally, enter an appropriate description for the Element Classification.
Evolution Entities	Optionally, select an MRI Evolution system entity in order to associate the Element Classification with a specific entity, such as Location Type and so on.

Complete the fields and click Save and Close .
