Location Groups

Location Groups allow Users to create groups of Locations which can then in turn be published to Accounts and Roles. This can make publishing new Locations to Evolution Reach Accounts a lot easier. Using Location Groups removes the need to use the Bookable Locations option in Evolution Reach User Accounts.

The Purchase Key licence dependency for this specific element of the system has been removed and is now included as standard in the core MRI Evolution product the feature has been turned on for all systems by default.

Note: Other restrictions, such as User licence type restrictions and / or any restrictions to underlying functionality that is dependent upon Purchase Key licences will remain in place.

Facilities > Property and Estates > Location Groups

The link will open the Location Groups grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.

To add a new Location Group click New , to edit an existing Location Group click Edit . A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of a Location Group.

Field Name Description
Name The name of the Location Group.

Complete the fields and click Save . Once the Location Group header has been completed and saved a sub navigation will appear to allow additional entities to be assigned.

These include:

  • Locations
  • Accounts
  • Roles

Locations

Locations must be assigned to the group to ensure Users can only see the required Locations.

Facilities > Property and Estates > Location Groups

The link will open the Location Group / Locations grid. It is a grid view that can be customised and sorted as normal.

To assign Locations click Assign , entities in the right hand assignment window are connected.

To create Locations see Location Register

Accounts

Accounts must be assigned to the group to ensure Users can only see the required Locations.

The link will open the Location Group / Accounts grid. It is a grid view that can be customised and sorted as normal.

To assign Accounts click Assign , entities in the right hand assignment window are connected.

To create Accounts see User Accounts

Roles

Roles can be assigned to the group (as well as, or instead of Accounts) to ensure Users can only see the required Locations.

To assign Roles click Assign , entities in the right hand assignment window are connected.
