Task Management Overview
Task Management Module orchestrates the full lifecycle of Reactive and Planned Tasks—from call logging (Helpdesk / Customer Service Desk), prioritisation and scheduling (Integrated Services, Resource Planner) through execution, documentation and completion.
Core areas below: Tasks grid, Helpdesk, Customer Service Desk, Integrated Services (care/task & resource assignment), Requests, Appointments, Resource Planner, Timesheets, Work Permits, Scheduled Task Templates, Planned Task Events and the PPM suite.
Typical operational activities:
- Log and triage new issues via Helpdesk or Customer Service Desk (contact‑centric).
- Assign / balance workload using Integrated Services and Resource Planner.
- Create Requests & Task Appointments with agreed attendance windows and automated communications.
- Capture time and progress using Timesheets; manage permits and compliance artefacts.
- Define recurring maintenance using PPM Templates and Scheduled Task Templates; surface preparatory steps via Planned Task Events.
Outcomes & value: Faster response, higher first time fix, structured preventative maintenance (PPM Templates / Scheduled Task Templates), auditable service delivery with clear appointment tracking, Timesheet capture and permit compliance.

Tasks | The Tasks grid, by default displays all current Tasks including Tasks that are Unauthorised, Active, Assigned and Complete. |

Customer Service Desk | The Customer Service Desk page provides a 'Contact centric' view of Tasks. The page can interact with computer telephony interface (CTI) systems to handle calls and automatically look up the Contacts. |

Integrated Care Services | The Integrated Services grid presents a view of both current Tasks and the Resources available to perform those Tasks. Resources can be assigned Tasks by dragging and dropping the Task onto the Resource. |

Requests |
Requests for work (Tasks) can relate to Appointments but not necessarily so, they can originate from MRI Evolution as well as integrated systems. Request details are agreed with an end customer:
Automated communications sent to the end customer, including progress updates, can be configured to meet user's requirements. |

Task Appointments | The Appointments & Visits functionality within MRI Evolution defines an intention to visit a specific Building at a specific Date and Time. |

Resource Planner | The Resource Planner shows which Resources are available, what Tasks they have scheduled and how much time they have available on any given day. It is used to assign and manage Tasks. |

Timesheets | The Timesheets Module is an easy way for a Resource to be able to edit and sign off their own Tasks. |

Work Permits | The Work Permit Module allows Work Permits to be created and monitored within MRI Evolution. |

Scheduled Task Templates | The Scheduled Task Templates is part of the ISM Module, it allows Users to schedule regular Tasks on a recurring basis |
