Widgets

Modular interface components placed on pages to extend functionality and customize user experience. Template-based widgets connect to various system modules enabling dashboard access to features including bookings, reporting, and helpdesk.

Users configure widgets with specific settings, platform availability, and dimensions, then assign them to pages for role-appropriate interface design.

Settings > Widgets & Home Pages > Widgets

The link will open the Widget grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.

To add a new Widget click New , to edit an existing Widget click Edit . A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of a Widget,

Widgets use standard templates which can then be configured to meet the User requirement.

Field Name	Description
Name	The name of the Widget.
Description	The description of the Widget.
Available in	Check the box(es) to make the Widget available in MRI Evolution, Evolution Connect, Evolution Reach.
Default height in Pixels	Set the height of the Widget in pixels.
Hide Widget Frame	Check the box to hide the widget frame Available from 5.0.0.0
Published From	The date the Widget is to be available from.
Published To	The date the Widget is to be available to.
Widget Template	From the drop down select the Widget Template: Widget - @yourService Embedded Widget - Access the features of MRI Dreamscape @yourService in a widget Widget - Booking Availability - Allow a User to see what rooms are available at a glance. Widget - Concept Reports - Grant access to certain Concept Reports Widget - Conference Booking - Book Conference lines and ports Widget - Crystal Reports - Grant access to certain Crystal Reports Widget - Document Grid - Grant access to certain Documents MRI Energy - MRI energy widgets will be configured by MRI Software and system administrator on install. Widget - Facilities Booking Check In - Use a widget to mark Facilities Bookings as "Checked In" Widget - Facilities Booking- Make a Facilities Booking Widget - Facilities Booking Grid - Display Facilities Bookings Widget - Helpdesk - Log a Helpdesk call Widget - HTML - Create and display web content. Widget - IFrame - Display of an existing website by entering the fully qualified URL of the site. Widget - KPI - Create Key Performance Indicator widgets Widget - Live View - Live View allows a business to use a single widget to show geographical and numerical summaries for data Widget - Non Room Facilities Booking Form- Book rooms that are not usually bookable e.g. for a function in reception. Widget - RSS- Display RSS feeds for frequently updated content from other sources, such as news websites, blogs and traffic information. Widget - Service Catalogue - Service Catalogue widgets can be created to allow Evolution Reach Users to easily log service requests Widget - Supplier Quote Grid - The Supplier Quote Grid, allows Supplier quotes to be viewed, approved and rejected from a widget. Widget - Task Grid - Display Tasks using system queries to control the Tasks that the User can view. Widget - Visitor Booking - Book a Visitor Widget - Visitor Booking Grid- Displays Visitors using system queries to control which Visitors the User can view. Widget - Visual Booking - Visual Booking allows a Users to make a Facilities Booking e.g. a hot desk or car parking space, from a floor plan. Widget - Visual Booking Grid - Display Visitor Bookings using system queries to control the Visitor Bookings that the User can view.

Complete the fields and click Save . Once the Widget header has been completed and saved a sub navigation will appear to allow the Widget configuration. See the Widgets page for details on configuration.

Once Widgets have been set up they must be placed on pages and Users given access to the correct menus to be able to view.

Access to Widgets though MRI Evolution and Evolution Connect can be seen through the home page.

Complete the fields and click Save and Close .
